Yella Beezy was arrested and charged in 2020 for the murder of Dallas rapper MO3.
According to the indictment, Markies Conway is known for his stage name, Yella Beezy, allegedly paid for the killing of rapper Melvin Noble, known as MO3. MO3 was heading north on Interstate 35 near Illinois Avenue when it was shot and killed in November 2020. Police said Noble was hunting Noble on foot after trying to escape from the vehicle, and then shot several times. The shooting was captured on traffic cameras and was widely circulated.
The Dallas County grand jury returned to the indictment this week, accusing Yella Beezy of allegedly hiring someone for the shooting.
In this case, two people have been prosecuted. In February 2021, Kewon Dontrell White was initially charged with murder. Devin Maurice Brown is also accused of assisting with the attack plan.
Yella Beezy’s 2017 hit song “That Ins on Me” peaked on the Billboard Hot 100. He remained at the Dallas County Jail as of Thursday night, with no deposit yet.
