Earlier, Westside Gunn had talked about quitting studio album production and just having fun without the pressure – however, a studio album has been released and the Flygod Is An Awesome God trilogy has reached peak. Gunn claimed that he would still drop music and tapes, but that he didn’t want the pressure of creating a studio project and that there was “no pressure.” But the artist has changed dramatically since he last had these ideas.

The rapper tragically lost a close friend to Infinite (Big Dump) in April of this year, and it was only as recently as this month that Gunn took to IG to reassure his fans, claiming that he was still Flygod and that he was okay. He thanked his fans for their concern. . To return the love, the artist announced the third project in the Flygod series, which was said to be dark and dusty enough for Gunn to pull out the mask – which ended up appearing on the album cover.
