The song’s production core follows an African rhythm and samples Soul II Soul’s “Back to Life.” The introspective lyrics are accompanied by a relaxed rhythm that immerses the listener in a subtropical soundscape, with Wale delivering very fragile bars that don’t quite shine like they really do.
