Tyrese Gibson and Mona Scott-Young arrive in Jamaica to offer love and relief to hurricane victims
Tyrese Gibson arrived on the tarmac in Jamaica alongside TV mogul Mona Scott-Young to provide relief to communities devastated by recent hurricanes. The R&B singer and “Fast & Furious” star teamed up with the “Love & Hip Hop” creator to personally distribute supplies to residents struggling to rebuild.
After landing on the island on Monday, Gibson and Scott-Young shared videos on social media showing the private jet was loaded not with luxury items but essential relief items. The pair made it clear that their mission is rooted in compassion, not celebrity.
“This is not just a private plane. This is a humanitarian mission,” Scott-Young said. “We were able to accomplish what we were able to do in a short period of time. You all know I have the ability, so my thing is to provide power, I carry a lot of Starlink with me and I’m looking to you to help me bring as much Starlink as possible to Jamaica so people can talk to their families.”
Starlink is a satellite internet service provided by SpaceX that provides high-speed internet access around the world, especially in rural and remote areas.

Scott Young has long expressed her love for the Caribbean, stopping to admire the country’s beauty despite the devastation. “It’s beautiful here, as beautiful as I remember. You all know I love Jamaica,” she added.
Tyrese echoed the energy, smiling broadly as he stepped off the plane. “Jamaica, we’re here, baby,” he said. “We load up. I’ve always wanted to do this. We know there’s a lot of trauma and we’re here not only to give, but to give with all the love.”
On Instagram, Gibson reflected on the strength he witnessed on the ground, writing: “The resilience of the people of Jamaica is on full display…”
Both stars are among a growing number of global figures stepping up to the plate in Jamaica’s time of need. Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation, Nicki Minaj, Denzel Washington, DJ Khaled and many others also offered aid and resources in the aftermath of the deadly storm.
Tyrese encouraged his followers to donate to Roww.Org, an organization founded by his late friend Paul Walker.
