Tucci has been added to LSU’s 2026 football roster as a freshman wide receiver.
Tucci played on the high school football team in North Carolina before rising to prominence in the rap world with hits such as “Favorite Song” and “IDGAF.” He was originally committed to play football at Syracuse University in late 2025, but that plan ultimately did not materialize. In March 2026, Tucci enrolled at LSU and was added to the Tigers’ roster, reportedly participating in the team’s early practices as a wide receiver.
If the rapper from North Carolina gets a chance to make his mark on the field, Tucci could become one of the first multi-platinum artists to play Division I football at the collegiate level.
“If no one told me, I would be so proud of myself, Geaux Tigers,” Tucci wrote on his Instagram page, along with a tiger and praying hands emoji.
It’s unclear if Toosii will retire from rapping entirely, but it’s not impossible for him to balance catching and catching at the same time.
