Hernandez Govan trials young Dolph’s murder
Memphis’ ABC 24 reported that Hernandez Govan will now be on trial on August 18 after he refused a plea deal last December. Govan spent a week of action hearing before the trial. However, on Tuesday (July 29), Judge Jennifer Mitchell signed a seal on the motion and ruling of the case. The reason is not yet clear. The seal will remain in place until further notice. Govan received $90,000 in bonds for free while awaiting trial.

Henandez Govan accused of plotting young Dolph murder
Gowan was killed in Dolph and faced first-degree murder, conspiring to commit a first-degree murder charge and attempted to murder the first-degree murder case, and was linked to the 2021 death of Young Dolph, who was shot and killed by two masked gunmen in Makeda’s homemade butter on November 17.
One of the shooters, Justin Johnson, was sentenced and convicted last September for Dolph’s murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. The second defendant shooter Cornelius Smith testified against Johnson, telling the jury that they signed to kill Dorf in exchange for a $100,000 reward from Yo Gotti’s brother Big Jook. Hernandez Govan is accused of incorporating the plan into a bounty. Big Jook was shot dead outside a restaurant in Memphis on January 13, 2024.
Justin Johnson’s brother, Jermarcus Johnson, pleaded guilty in October 2023, three charges following the facts, asking them to help Justin by posting social media from Justin’s phone. He also testified Justin. Jermarcus was sentenced to six years in prison last November.
