After years of legal issues, Youngboy has never gone bankrupt again, which is almost homeless, resulting in his nearly two-year federal prison sentence last December on gun charges.
NBA Youngboy release date loom
According to the Federal Prison Database database, on Thursday (March 20), the release date for Louisiana rappers was updated from July 27, 2025 to April 26, 2025. YB was initially sentenced to 23 months in Utah in December. However, it now seems that he will be released before serving his sentence.
NBA Youngboy was arrested last April at his Utah home, where he was arrested for ongoing gun boxes in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where authorities accused the rapper of operating a prescription drug fraud ring and also accused him of finding a weapon in his home. Top was charged with a separate crime in two different Utah counties, and his plate still has Louisiana gun charges.
Last summer, Youngboy’s lawyers were able to bring all cases together and resolve all three cases worldwide. Last November, YB pleaded guilty to 10 counts in a prescription drug fraud case and was sentenced to sentence and ordered to pay a $25,000 fine. A month later, he pleaded guilty to the gun charge and was sentenced to 23 months. Those 23 months have turned into five.
“People will be shocked by their speed,” NBA Youngboy attorney Drew Findling told XXL last September. “And the lawyers will be shocked by that, because the person I brainstorming is just blown away. So it all might work for him.”
Top is currently serving time at Talladega FCI in Talladega, Alabama. After his prison term ends, the rapper will be released under 60 months of supervision. During this period, he will have to comply with 10 special conditions, including up to six monthly drug and alcohol screenings, completing mental health assessments, completing drug abuse assessments, and more.
He has released two albums from behind the wall, including last December I just got a lot of albums on my shoulders and leaked more in March. With his release date looming, the official countdown to come has begun.
