Since her sophomore album, Still Over It , Summer Walker has been more in the background. It’s a 2021 project that serves as the sequel and follow-up to her 2019 studio debut Over It. But overall, she mostly assisted during that time. 21 Savage, Bakar, Sexyy Red, Hunxho and USHER are the beneficiaries. But in October, the Atlanta, Georgia product is focused on returning to solo tracks. This weekend, Summer Walker drops “Heart Of A Woman,” the second single from her upcoming third LP, Finally Over It , which pretty much marks the end of the trilogy.
The series focuses on the difficulties of overcoming past affairs. However, given the title and content of “Heart of a Woman,” it seems that Summer is no longer playing the game. The single was teased on October 11 via “+1(404) 476-6404”. It’s a voicemail she’s still dealing with from a man who admitted his love for her during their questions. You can hear the chorus of “Heart Of A Woman” playing in the background, and it looks like they’ll be placed side by side on the final tracklist. In “HOAW,” Walker wants to end the relationship. But for some reason, despite her growing contempt for him, she persisted. It’s a painful but beautiful listen, as her voice carefully glides over the understated instrumental.
