Skilla Baby is convinced the police department in his hometown of Detroit has taken care of the problem for him, and he’s ready to take legal action to end the harassment.

The 25-year-old took to Instagram to express his displeasure following his latest home appearance on Sunday (July 7). In a lengthy video post, Schilla detailed multiple encounters with city officials, including a specific member of the Detroit Police Department whom he referred to as Lt. Rue.

“I’m not an activist or anything, so I don’t like doing this kind of thing,” he began. “But every time I performed at home, the fire department or the Detroit police would always come and stop me. I was already like, I didn’t even know what I was doing, but they always put me down.

“I met a police officer who was always picking on me. His name was Lieutenant Rue. I think his real name was Lieutenant Dan Rue or something. Every event I went to, he was always trying to get kicked out.

The rapper, who goes by the name of Trevon Gardner, recounted multiple incidents in which Rue sabotaged his plans, including one where he allegedly called Skilar a “gang member” and a “murderer” to prevent him from attending Events at Ford Field.

“I just poured into my city,” Skylar Barbie said angrily. “I deleted people’s records. I gave my house away and they didn’t respect me. I’m only 25. My boy, Lieutenant Lu, you’re crazy. I just want Lieutenant Lu to realize this. Lieutenant Lu. You’re crazy. I won’t lie.

He added, “I can’t beat you. You’re a police officer, do you feel me? There’s nothing I can do. I can’t tell you. I’m not going to tell you. I think the next thing I’m going to do is sue the city.” Govt. So I’m gonna sue the DPD for keeping him in my event, man. I’m gonna sue the city.

While Skilla Baby loves doing things for his city, his recent comments about another Detroit great sparked some online debate.

On the Baby It’s Keke Palmer podcast, Schilla claimed that people back home don’t think Eminem is the GOAT, while discussing who the best rapper in the Motor City really is.

“Eminem is the best rapper in Detroit by the numbers, but the funny thing is no one in Detroit would say that,” he said.

The “Bae” rapper then added, “Everyone has a chance to be Detroit’s favorite rapper. Sada Baby is in, Tee Grizzley is in, Babyface Ray is in, Veeze is one of the best rappers in Detroit, Baby Smoove .Everyone has their turn as the best guy in the city. What we lack is consistency. No one is Detroit’s favorite rapper.

Returning to Slim Shady, he said, “By the numbers, it’s Eminem, but no one in Detroit plays Eminem right now, and I was an Eminem fan as a kid. I’m an Eminem fan, but we think he’s our biggest Good rappers? I don’t think Detroit does.

Skilla Baby later updated his comments on Instagram: “I didn’t forget any names. Detroit is full of great rappers and I can’t forget Kash Doll, Big Sean and Dej [Loaf] certainly.

The 25-year-old crossed off a number of notable Detroit stars from his roster, including 5-foot-9 Royce Da, Boldy James, 42 Dugg, Danny Brown, BabyTron and Icewear Vezzo.
