Sean Kingston’s mother was taken into custody this morning after law officials raided the rapper’s rented mansion in Southwest Ranches, South Florida.

Sean Kingston’s mother, Janice Turner, was arrested after police raided her son Sean Kingston’s home in Florida on Thursday (May 23). He was taken into custody on multiple fraud and theft charges after renting a Southwest Ranches mansion in Dania Beach.
“After an investigation began in the City of Dania Beach on the morning of May 23, detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Dania Beach District, along with members of the BSO Strategic Investigation Team and the Davie Police SWAT Team, responded to Southwest Ranches An arrest and search warrant was issued at a residence. “As a result of the investigation, an adult female, Janice Turner, was taken into custody on multiple fraud and theft charges. This investigation is actively ongoing. “
According to local news media NBC 6 South FloridaThe raid was related to a lawsuit filed by Ver Ver Entertainment, which claimed Sean failed to pay monthly installments and installation fees for a 232-inch TV they sold him.
In the video below, attorney Dennis Card, who represents the company, says the Jamaican-American artist is known for flaunting his wealth and calls Sean’s actions “organized systemic fraud.”
“He likes to have bling, he likes to show off, he’s a showman,” attorney Dennis Card told reporters. “My client had a $150,000 TV sound system, a watch worth about $1 million, and ordered a custom bed worth $80,000. It was an organized, systematic Fraud.”
The card details Sean Kingston’s allegedly fabricated lifestyle.
“He basically had a script,” Dennis Card continued. “He said he worked with Justin Bieber and apparently he had a big show here. It was a rental. He didn’t own it and he used his celebrity to lure people into posting stuff without him having to pay. fee, and then he doesn’t pay at all.
Card continues to insist the musician is a liar.
“He’s 100 percent a liar,” he added. “He is currently on felony probation for trafficking in stolen property. He is serving a adjudication for the unpaid purchase of over $1 million in watches. This is an ongoing pattern for Sean.”
Hip-Hop Jeweler Johnny Dang Talks Raid
Hip-hop’s respected jeweler Johnny Dang appears to have borrowed the spotlight surrounding Sean Kingston after DJ Akademiks posted about his rental house on Instagram (Sean Kingston) Allegation of failure to pay for the purchase of property. His comments under Ak’s IG post (shown below) indicate that the artist also owes him a large sum of money.
“Damn, I need to collect my dollars so bad,” Johnny Dun wrote.
Sean Kingston reacts to attack
Hours after the attack, Sean Kingston took to his Instagram Story to detail what happened. The artist wrote that he and his mother were in good spirits and that he was taking legal action.
“People love negative energy!” Written by Sean. “I’m fine and so is my mom! … My attorney is handling everything as we speak.” Pictured below.

Sean Kingston sued over failure to pay for Rolex
Sean Kingston has a history of not paying for purchased items. In April 2017, the “Pretty Girls” hitmaker faced legal action after allegedly buying a $46,000 Rolex at half price. According to TMZ, Sean Kingston made an advance payment of $10,000 to Norman Silver Diamonds and then sent a check for $36,000 to ship the watch to his business partner. Eventually, the jeweler discovered that the musician’s check had not been cashed. The man who sued Sean Kingston has been awarded $15,000 in damages for buying the Rolex watch since their encounter in 2013. Court documents show Kingston still owes about $21,353 for the purchase.
