This is the second EP of New York Emcee/Producer Santana Fox. She is known for being the daughter of the late Mobb Deep Fame and eventually follows her father’s footsteps, airing her own footsteps for a few years after his untimely pass, until the full-length first girl next door. A year and a half ago, her former EP Eye Candy was a crucial moment in her career, not only because she made all herself, but also improved the lyrics. Last October, we should have gotten the femme fatale, and although it’s still not here, she’s still a rebel! Looks like a prologue.
After the titular introduction, the first song “’tht the Angels Come” sets the tone with a weird self-produced boom bap opener, talking about making Muhfuckas disappear without traces, and “Raspy Berry” promises her revenge in her life after the age of age. The “deja vu” featuring the big twins and clocks found a trio in an instrument from a weird boom period, advising not to let them hype, while Hus Kingpin advised them to give up on the game.
“Daydreamin'” started the second half of the EP with Fox, who talked about what she wanted and wanted her cup to be poured into the cup during the “crash” featuring Mijita, thus lyrically in a more chaotic tone. Pohlosweater’s “Lucky Girl” warns that anyone running around them will end up with socks and “lip gloss on the hips” and she is a rebel! By talking about trusting her intuition, not giving others fucking.
In preparation for Mobb Deep’s upcoming 9th and final album Infinite, Infinite, is ready to be released in a few weeks on a massive appeal record, Santana Fox began uncovering another EP capitalization of artistic growth 18 months ago. Her production skills have flourished since we last heard the clearer sound of her and her pen, although I could have done it with few guests personally.
