Rihanna is the latest artist to be interviewed by Interview magazine, hosted by none other than Mel Ottenberg.
Mel is Rihanna’s longtime stylist and editor-in-chief of Interview magazine, so this sit-down made perfect sense. During the chat, the superstar singer discussed her life, wanting to get breast augmentation surgery, how she started dating ASAP Rocky, wanting to have more kids with him, plans for new music, what she loves most about New York and What in Los Angeles, etc.
“We’ve known each other for a long time. I’ve seen him in relationships. He’s seen me in relationships. We’ve seen each other outside of relationships. We know what we’re capable of, and the trouble we can bring into each other’s lives, ” Rihanna talked about how it started with “Rocky.” “We can break each other’s hearts, and we can break each other’s hearts. So we started dating very cautiously.”
“COVID-19 accelerated our relationship, which I feel God knew we needed as we started a family. Without COVID-19, we would have taken more time to get used to each other and even know we were ready, ” she continued.
“I let God lead and then let go. Because in previous relationships, I tried, tried, tried my best, and you still felt it was not enough. So when someone completely sees you, believes in you, and thinks you are worthy of being their child It’s a great feeling as a mother. I feel the same way about him. I know he’s going to be a great dad.”
When asked if she wanted more children, she replied: “I don’t know what God wants, but I will have more than two. I will try for my daughter. But of course, if it is another boy , that’s another boy.”
RiRi said she might get a breast augmentation, but no other surgeries. “No. I’m also afraid of knives. So if I had to choose one thing, I’d choose my breasts.”
For new music, Rihanna said she had visual ideas, but not enough songs. “I have a lot of visual ideas. It’s kind of weird. My brain is going backwards right now. I usually have music first, and music leads me into all these visual opportunities, and now I have all these visuals, but I don’t have songs for them yet, but Maybe that’s the key, this time. Maybe the visual creativity leads me to the songs I need to create.”
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are the proud parents of two boys: RZA and Riot Rose.
