Several rappers have reacted to a possible assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Donald Trump injured at Pennsylvania rally
Former President Donald Trump was shot and driven off the stage just minutes into a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, NBC News reported on Saturday (July 13). He was slightly injured because there was blood on him.
In the video below, Trump is on the podium starting to speak when he hears several explosions. Trump covered his ears and immediately fell to the ground. Several agents then swarmed in to protect the former president and prepare to remove him from the scene. Trump was seen pumping his fist before leaving the stage, where he was rushed off the stage and put into a car and taken away.
The Butler County District Attorney told NBC News that one spectator at the rally died and another was seriously injured. NBC News confirmed the shooter was dead.
Meanwhile, BBC.com spoke to a man outside the security perimeter who claimed he saw the gunman before he opened fire on the rally.

Statement from Secret Service, Barack Obama and President Joe Biden
Following the shocking news that Donald Trump was injured at a rally, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi issued a statement on the incident on X (formerly Twitter).
He wrote: “On the evening of July 13, an incident occurred at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former president is safe. The Secret Service is currently conducting an active investigation and will investigate once further information is available.” Information we will release.
Meanwhile, former President Barack Obama and current President Joe Biden issued statements condemning political violence and wishing Donald Trump a speedy recovery.
“There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy,” Obama wrote. “We should all breathe a sigh of relief that former President Trump was not seriously harmed and use this moment to recommit himself to civility and civility in our politics.” Respect. Michelle and I wish him a speedy recovery.”

Donald Trump releases statement on injury he suffered at Pennsylvania rally
Donald Trump confirmed in a statement that he had been shot, the bullet hitting his upper right ear, and that the shooter had died. He also expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the chaos and injured bystanders. Below is the full text of Donald Trump’s statement.
“I want to thank the U.S. Secret Service and all law enforcement for their swift response to the recent shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to express my condolences to the families of the shooting victims. Lally was killed, and The family of another man who was seriously injured, it’s unbelievable that such an act could happen in our country and we currently know nothing about the shooter and immediately knew something was wrong because I heard whoosh. There was a whoosh, a gunshot, and immediately I felt the bullet tearing through my skin, so I realized what was happening.

Meanwhile, on X, several rappers reacted to the shocking news that Donald Trump may have been shot at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“They can’t just shoot Trump [exploding head emoji]”, wrote Soulja Boy.
“We spin for Trump, glad you’re okay,” Lil Pump, a long-time supporter of Donald Trump, typed.
“Yeah, man finally won,” Tucci wrote.
Cady Boy added: “Trump news is disturbing. It’s not cool. I won’t vote for him or support him, but wishing someone dead is neither.”
