Hill’s move comes ahead of an 18-day trek across the United States scheduled to begin in Tampa, Florida. The legendary band is scheduled to perform in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Dallas and several other cities.

In announcing the concert’s cancellation, Hill accused the media of creating a “narrative” about her attendance at the concert. “My trust and belief in my intentions and commitment to my art appear to have been eclipsed by this unfortunate portrayal,” Hill wrote. “Not only have UK and European audiences yet to see the anniversary performance of Miseducation, They also haven’t seen the Fugees perform together in over 25 years! Performing for my fans is a profound exchange of energy and emotion that excites me. Every show is an expression of my connection and shared love of music. And to prove it, I can assure you that no one is more disappointed than me about not being able to perform.
Prath initially reacted to news of the cancellation in an interview with TMZ Hip Hop. “For 20 years I saved her reputation by not telling my story,” he told the outlet, “but alas… it’s out.” So far, dates in the UK and Europe have continued as planned.
