Oversett left a Florida hospital after the casino shooting, thanked supporters and said he had refocused on family, recovery and music amid legal and gambling problems.
Offset emerged from Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida today with a gunshot wound after a casino brawl turned violent and legal chaos.
His team issued a statement confirming the news, saying he was “already walking” and expressing gratitude to the medical staff who treated him.
The spokesperson added that he was “extremely grateful to the doctors, nurses and all hospital staff for the excellent care he received.”
The former Migos member took to social media to deliver his message, speaking his mind authentically as he moves forward.

“Thank you to everyone who followed me and showed me love,” Offset wrote. “I’m fine, but I plan on getting better. I’m focusing on my family, my recovery, and getting back to music, realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and big losses. Life is a gamble, and I’m still gambling to win.”
It’s a statement that carries a lot of weight considering everything that led up to this moment, and the irony of his reference to gambling isn’t lost on anyone paying attention to the big picture.
The shooting occurred on April 6 outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida when tensions between Offset and Lil Tjay erupted into a physical altercation.
The conflict between the two parties dates back to 2025, when Lil Tjay claimed that Offset owed him money while running a casino. Lil Tjay, who was arrested and released on bail in connection with the incident, immediately called Offset a “rat” upon his release.
The entire situation exposed months of deeper financial problems.
Offset’s gambling habit had become a serious problem. Reports say he lost about $900,000 gambling before the Florida shooting, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Detroit’s Motor City Hotel and Casino filed a lawsuit against him for $100,000 in unpaid debts starting in March 2024, accusing him of breach of contract and fraud.
The casino claims he opened a line of credit to continue gambling and then left a shadow on the bill.
Offset’s legal team is reportedly working to resolve his casino debt while he focuses on recovery and his music career.
Between the Florida incident, the Detroit lawsuit and mounting debt, Offset’s financial situation is looking increasingly dire.
The hospitalization gave him time to move on from the chaos, and his statement suggested he was using the time as a moment to reset.
Whether he can actually turn things around remains to be seen, but at least he’s alive and out of the hospital.
