Now he’s facing a $100,000 lawsuit from Motor City Hotel and Casino over unpaid bills, and that’s just the beginning of his nightmare.
The former Migos rapper was shot to death on Monday, April 6, near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, in an incident that allegedly stemmed from a $10,000 gambling debt he owed Lil Tjay from January 2025.
The shooting occurred after a fight broke out in the valet area, and Lil Tjay was arrested on disorderly conduct charges and later released on $500 bail.
When Tjay walked out of jail, he made it clear that his relationship with Offset was not over, calling him a rat and denying any involvement in the shooting while expressing his anger.
Offset is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, but the damage to his reputation and bank account has been real.
To make matters worse, Offset’s gambling problem isn’t limited to Lil Tjay.
Former NFL star Dez Bryant recently revealed that Offset owed him $8,000 and brazenly called him three hours before the shooting to ask to borrow more money.
Model and internet celebrity Celina Powell also exposed Offset’s gambling addiction, claiming he also swindled money from her.
Ebo Darden is another person who has come forward to say that Offset owes him money.
This wasn’t a one-time mistake or a bad night at the poker table. This is a pattern of behavior that spirals out of control.

He had the resources to get help, but instead he owes rappers, athletes and influencers thousands of dollars while facing a six-figure lawsuit.
