Michael B. Jordan’s discussion center was at the center of discussion during a federal sex trafficking trial in which the jury chose Sean Diddy’s comb, and court officials read through a list of public figures that could be mentioned in the lawsuit.
Jordan will not testify or appear in court, but his name is marked due to a 2023 civil lawsuit filed by Didi’s former partner, Cassie Ventura.
In the bombshell complaint, Ventura claimed that in the brief breakup in 2015, she had a “flirting relationship” with the actor, which was later called Jordan by the media, and after she spent New Year’s Eve with him, Diddy “called the actor and threatened him.”
Although Jordan never mentioned him directly in the lawsuit, his identity was confirmed through the report.
His participation during the jury review was merely to determine whether any potential jurors had prior knowledge or opinion about the individuals involved in the case. This does not recommend any wrongdoing or legal participation in Jordan.
The representative of Jordan has not issued a public statement.
Kid Cudi was also mentioned during the jury selection.
Other high-profile names mentioned during the jury selection process include Jay-Z and Kid Cudi, who both mentioned them in Ventura’s lawsuit.
According to the document, Ventura had a brief romantic connection with Kid Cudi in 2011, allegedly triggering a violent reaction from the comb.
She claimed Diddy threatened to “blast Cudi’s car” and a car did explode in Cudi’s driveway shortly afterwards. A Kid Cudi spokesman told the New York Times that the allegations were “completely accurate.”
The lawsuit also describes a disturbing incident where Diddy allegedly discovered an email between Ventura and Kid Cudy in the “Freak” incident and then attacked Ventura with a bottle opener. Later, she escaped to Cudi’s home.
The opening statement in the trial is scheduled to begin on May 12, 2025.
