Megan Thee Stallion said it was a “real wake-up call” for her after she was hospitalized for exhaustion.
Megan Thee Stallion fell ill during a performance at Moulin Rouge on Wednesday (April 1) and was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday (March 31), releasing a statement on her Instagram page! Broadway musical. A rep told Variety that Houston was being treated for “extreme exhaustion, dehydration, constricted blood vessels and low metabolic levels.” Megan was eventually released and is currently recovering at home.
In her statement, Meghan called her hospitalization a “real wake-up call.”
“Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing my limits lately, running on an empty stomach, and my body finally said enough is enough. It honestly scares me,” she wrote. “I thought I was going to pass out on stage and I was trying really hard to do my performance but I just couldn’t do it.”

Meghan added that she will return to the stage on Thursday (April 2).

On Tuesday night, The Breakfast Club’s Loren Lorosa broke the news that Meghan’s performance of the Broadway musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theater was cut short due to a medical emergency. Loren, who was in attendance, revealed that Meghan was replaced by another cast member after a brief hiatus from the show.
Meghan’s rep later confirmed to Loren in a statement that Meghan was taken to the hospital after falling ill.
