Drake went into “Mr. Clean” mode after the interior of his Toronto mansion suffered massive flooding from the severe storm that hit the city today.

Drake tries to deal with floods with broom

Drake took a closer look at the pitfalls of being a hip-hop homeowner on Tuesday night (July 16) as he filmed floodwaters rushing through his 50,000-square-foot crib. In a video shared by Drizzy on his Instagram Story, he captured the moment on camera as he stood across from another man trying to stop a flood of brown water from entering the closet room. The space in which the rapper appears to be filming is a seating area complete with a mirror and sink.

“This better be an espresso martini,” Drake wrote in the video’s caption. Apparently, he kept his sense of humor by comparing the brown liquid to a coffee-flavored libation. Speak like a true MC.

When he panned to his feet, the water was already up to Drake’s ankles. Yun also had a broom in her hand, which didn’t help much in this situation. The Embassy (the nickname for his luxurious estate) was compromised today, but if need be, Drake can always head to Texas to stay dry at another $15 million mansion he owns.

CBC News reported that 167,000 customers were without power due to the storm, according to Toronto Hydro, the city’s electricity distribution system. The rain required rescue crews and caused damage to cars across the city.

Drake’s mansion is a work of art

Drake may have purchased flood insurance to cover any damage he sustained in the home, which is reportedly worth $100 million. Built in 2019, Drake constructed a work of art within the space. 3,200-square-foot master bedroom suite, marble floors, NBA-size indoor basketball court, brown onyx semi-precious stone in studio lounge and custom concert triangle designed by Austrian piano maker Bösendorfer in collaboration with Japanese artist Piano artist Takashi Murakami and architecture and interior designer Ferris Rafauli helped bring Drake’s vision of a luxurious home to life.

The Toronto native surprised fans at the luxury condo in 2020, filming him in several rooms throughout the digs amid the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown ‘s “Toosie Slide” music video.
