Earlier on Tuesday, Lloyd Banks dropped the Halloween treat by releasing the sixth chapter of his long-running mixtape series, Halloween Havoc , titled HHVI: Six of Swords .
Just hours before the official launch, the Queens presenter stoked anticipation on social media.
“It’s that time of year again!! HHVI Six of Swords is on the way!!! Can’t wait to hear this. Are you ready? Should I get off work early… or wait until tonight? If I get enough responses I’ll hit the button!!” Banks posted, which prompted a flood of responses from eager listeners.
The mixtape, due out October 31st, continues a tradition started with 2008’s “Halloween Havoc,” which was part of Banks’ “5 and Better Series Vol. 2.”
The debut album, a collaboration with 50 Cent, was titled “Get Up (Halloween Havoc)” and laid the foundation for what would become a seasonal staple in underground hip-hop.

Since then, Banks has released several follow-up works: 2015’s “Halloween 2”, 2016’s “Halloween 3: Four Days of Fury”, 2023’s “Halloween IV: The 72nd Hour” and last year’s “Halloween V”.
Each piece maintains a consistent tone—moody, aggressive, lyrically intense—while evolving with the times.
“Halloween Havoc 3” stands out for its simplicity, offering 14 solo tracks over booming bap beats that highlight Banks’ lyrical precision.
With HHIV, the G-Unit member further develops his expressive abilities, collaborating with Vado and Sy Ari Da Kid on 15 tracks that blend elements of boom bap and trap.
Part Five is released in 2024 and features 16 tracks produced by Ron Browz, Cartune Beatz, George Getson and more.
Banks used Halloween Havoc to become an annual event in the hip-hop world. “HHVI: Six of Swords” will be officially released on October 31st.
