Lily Allen has expressed interest in moving into country and western music, despite previous criticism of Beyonce doing the same.
In an interview with the Dish Podcast, the British singer talked about the possibility of approaching her music from a different angle, as she’s been writing new material in Nashville, widely considered the country capital of the world.
“There is so much legacy [in Nashville],” she says. “I have to say, it’s quite intimidating to come here. The people are really talented.
Regarding shedding her signature style, she added: “I’m just creating some space for some music to express myself,” she told hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett. “It’s not an album… it’s just, yeah. I’m just, you know, trying something [to] See if it works. I do love country and western music. And I feel like my writing is very narrative, kind of like narrative-driven music.
“Because I don’t feel it, it’s not about emotion. So… yeah, country music and western music are a great fit.

Azealia Banks was quick to slander the 38-year-old, claiming she was unable to speak out on the matter due to her allegedly racist past.
The 32-year-old rapper and singer took to her Instagram Stories to repost a social media post in which the Londoner criticized Cowboy Carter (something Banksy himself did) and told the latter to “stop That’s it.”
“Can we discuss that phone call you made to me a few years ago, where you obviously had tears on your face and asked me to forgive you for your casual racist behavior?” she wrote, referring to their relationship eleven years ago A tense feud.
She continued: “I quote, well, I just thought, because I’m a white girl and you’re just a black girl, I could shit on you…”
Banks later gave a detailed description of the conversation between the two men.
