Lil Yachty insists that Black Lives Matter is a scam and people react differently.
Lil Yachty calls BLM a scam
On March 2, Boat was a guest at the YouTube show, feeding hungry celebrities with Quen Blackwell. In this episode, Quen asks the Atlanta rapper how much he has spent on philanthropy this year. When the yacht was in trouble with naming anything, Quen threw away the black life problems, the movement quickly lashed out.
Yachty said on the 32:20 timestamp of the episode below: “BLM is a scam.” He joked, “BLM, it’s actually a scam. They bought a mansion, and… you probably won’t know that because you don’t care about black people.”

Social Media Responds to Lil Yachty’s BLM Comments
People on social media have been weighing the comments of quality control rappers.
“Lil Yachty calls BLM a scam but can’t say a place where a black man is focused, or any charity he donates to is so expected.” One person reacts to X. “1 person bought a mansion, but the whole action was a scam. Riding hip-hop is not for culture or our people or our people.”
“Why are so many male celebrities, Red Fruit, eliminated and spit out stupid conspiracies?” Another commissioned read. “Lil Yachty took part in the Quen show and said BLM was a decentralized sport. They said it was to discredit the sport, but the data showed it changed.”
“I agree with Lil Yachty, BLM is a scam!” others wrote. “If you give them a dollar, you’re a suck!”
Another X user posted: “Some people are not ready to hear the truth.”
Black Lives Matter is a social movement that began around 2013 to raise awareness about racism, police brutality, and criminal justice reform. In the same year, Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors and Melina Abdullah formed the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. BLMGNF reportedly came under fire for using an endowment fund to purchase a $6 million California mansion in 2022. In June 2023, a fraud lawsuit claimed that the organization’s funds were mismanaged.
