Before getting into legal trouble, HoodRich Pablo Juan was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, a move that established him as one of Atlanta’s emerging hip-hop artists.
His breakout song “We Don’t Luv Em” earned him a solid following, and he continued to release music even while incarcerated. His 2021 mixtape “Free Hood” was released while he was still in prison.
The rapper’s case is one of several that have hit Atlanta’s rap scene in recent years.
Several artists affiliated with 1017 Records have faced serious legal issues, adding to the scrutiny surrounding the label and its ties to street activism.
Juan’s legal team has yet to issue a statement or confirm plans for new music.
His last major project, “Designer Dope Boyz” starred Young Thug and Gunna.
He will now serve the remaining 10 years of his sentence on probation.
