Being the hardest rapper is a trait that many rhymers hold in high regard. No rapper wants you to know how rock solid he is at all times more than Lil Baby.
In the wake of the release of his new album, the XXL staff recently had an in-depth discussion of the Atlanta rapper’s prolific output, and a common theme kept emerging: The Quality Control rapper likes to brag about being the fiercest competition .
Baby cemented himself as an unshakable force in rap with 2017’s second mixtape, Harder Than Hard.
“I promised my niggas I’d change my name to John Wall,” he raps on “Freestyle” from his 2017 mixtape Too Hard.
“I’m back again, I’m trying again, I’m closing my heart again,” he sang on his 2023 song “Go Hard.” No one can get close to me so they have to give orders/Try my best to act like I don’t care, but I have no control and/I don’t want to fail and I try my best to win.
On Thursday (November 14), Baby revealed that his new album will be titled WHAM (Who Hard As Me), adding yet another layer to his unyielding legacy. Any questions now?
