Raekwon brings the heavyweight bar and iconic collaboration to the Emperor’s new clothes, his eighth solo album arrived on July 18 via Mass Flice and is filled with hip-hop legends like NAS and Wu-Tang Clan Clan members Ghost Fachface Killah Killah Killah Killah, Method Man and Inspectah deck and more.
The Raekwon project has also been kidnapped in the Griselda trio (Westside Gunn, Conway, Machine and Benny the Butcher), as well as the soul contributions of Stacy Barthe and British singer Marsha Ambrosius. Behind the board, production is processed by Swizz Beatz, Nottz, Justice League, Frank G and Roadsart.
“The Emperor’s New Clothes is more than just an album, it’s a speech. It declares evolution, mastery and the original nature of the New York soul,” Raekwon said in a press release.

Raekwon first created his mark with only 4 Cuban Linx (classic ceremony in 1995), the company helped define the Mafioso rap subtype. Almost three decades later, his lyrical clarity remains intact, and his influence continues to respond through generations of hosts.
