Robinson Sr. was charged with murder for replacing Barner and Whitaker after the murder. In his testimony, Robinson Sr. was asked if he had seen the videotape of the shooting, which happened in front of the Jacksonville Mall.
Robinson Sr. told the jury that he had no prior knowledge of McCormick’s plan to be murdered and only discovered after he picked up the men after the incident. He testified that he was taking a stance for a variety of reasons, including his deterioration in health and having children he wanted to spend time with. He said he was against his son, “the hardest thing I have to do in my life.”
Prosecutors said KSOO and his codeman killed McCormick in a Diss track against Ksoo’s half-brother Willie Addison. Ksoo and Whitaker’s defense teams are arguing that Barner is McCormick’s killer and he testifies only to save himself.
