Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been feuding for over a decade. However, it finally reached its peak last year with some scathing diss tracks. “Like this” started it all, and “pull up” soon followed. “Euphoria” escalated things, and on the night of May 3, history was made. “Family Matters” shocked the hip-hop world. Meanwhile, “Meet the Grahams” stopped everyone in their tracks.
The next day, Kendrick Lamar dropped the nuke again with “Not Like Us.” Since then, “Not Like Us” has become a signature song for the entire Niu. It’s been the number one selling song worldwide for several weeks now, and the momentum isn’t stopping. However, it seems that at least one city isn’t a fan of the track’s latest love-fest. Based on some of Houston’s anecdotes, the song appears to have been banned by certain institutions.
Kendrick Lamar has some clubs closing their doors
While it’s unclear why this is happening, some are trying to point the finger at Drake himself. After all, Drizzy is known for being a regular in Houston. And he has a relationship with J Prince, who has a lot of influence there. However, nothing has been confirmed and there is no evidence pointing in any direction. That being said, if you’re a DJ and “Not Like Us” is played in your set, be careful when playing it while out and about in Texas.
Let us know what you think about it all in the comments section below. Do you believe Derek is behind all of this? What do you think about clubs in Houston trying to pretend the song doesn’t exist?
