The rapper has faced another blow after major sponsors of the Wireless Festival, where Kanye was due to headline in the UK, withdrew. Yes, Ye (born Kanye West) has been banned from entering the UK.
Analysts said the move was in response to pressure on the interior ministry to prevent things that were detrimental to the public interest. The rapper has tried to speak to the UK’s Jewish community but has been rebuffed by many organizations and community leaders/public figures.
The Campaign Against Anti-Semitism (CAA) is particularly prepared to protest at the event itself if it goes ahead as planned. Only Phil Rosenberg agreed to meet with the rapper on the condition that he himself withdraw from the Wireless Festival. Previously, Kanye publicly apologized to the Jewish community through a newspaper advertisement and claimed that he suffered a mental breakdown due to bipolar disorder.
