Justin Bieber and more stars are mourning the loss of a beloved musician.
Police confirmed in a press release that Chris King (real name Christopher Cheeks) was involved in a shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 20 that left multiple people injured. He is 32 years old.
Chris, who was accompanied by two friends, was shot and killed by three suspects during an armed robbery in Nashville between Hays and Church streets, according to a news release. Another 29-year-old man who was wounded in the shooting, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told authorities that the three suspects “got along cordially” with their group before things took a violent turn.
After news of Chris’ death broke, Justin took to social media to pay his heartfelt tribute to his friend and former roommate.
“Love you bro,” he wrote on Instagram Story on April 20. “This man is in pain. Please pray for his family. See you in heaven, brother.”
The rapper, who is also the founder of music label Snotty Nose Records, has made a name for himself through collaborations with several rappers, including artist Trippie Redd, who was also memorialized online he.
