Joey Bada$$ is well aware of the paparazzi publicizing an emotional moment between him and girlfriend Serayah. The actor and rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday (March 12) to share several photos of the couple in a good mood. Joey created the post in response to a gossip outlet publishing offensive footage of Zelaya crying with him.
“TMZ is in our business, they don’t even know the facts, they can’t see that we only witness what the cameras capture,” Joy wrote in the caption.
The video of Zelaya crying provides little context. She burst into tears as the couple were talking. Joey can be seen comforting her in the video.
Joey and Serayah are still a couple linked to 50 Cent. Both had roles in 50 Cent’s STARZ television empire. Joey plays Unique in “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” and Serayah plays Lori in “BMF”.
Last year, Joey spoke with AllHipHop about making his character in the Thrones series more authentic.
“I’ve always been fascinated by the ’90s,” he said. “I look at it as the golden age of hip-hop. I’m from New York, specifically Brooklyn, and I wasn’t an adult at the time, not even a teenager. But I feel like I experienced a lot of people who related to that era. A lot of that The influences all seeped into me and I was influenced by them. My artistic expression is consistent with the times. When it comes to that, I am able to show an aspect of it naturally.”
Joey’s role in Raising Kanan propelled his acting career, which included a brief role as Inspectah Deck on Hulu’s Wu-Tang Clan: An American Legend. Joey also starred in the critically acclaimed series Mr. Robot and the short film Two Distant Strangers.
