Jay-Z launched a bubble legal counterattack against the woman who had previously accused him of sexual assault and her attorney Tony Buzbee filed a lawsuit in Alabama court that alleges extorting millions of plans.
After the woman, who was publicly known as Jane Doe, the hip-hop tycoon dropped her charges, his allegations of malicious prosecution, abuse process, civil conspiracy and defamation.
Jay-Z’s lawsuit argues that Doe and her attorneys planned the allegations, costing him no less than $20 million and causing significant reputation losses, a blow to his career and personal integrity.
In the legal documents, the complaints of Rock National bosses have caused no effort, making it clear that Dia and Buzby “are motivated by greed because of the ignorance of facts and the most basic precepts of human decency.”
The conflict began in December 2024 when Doe covered up her identity, publicly accusing Jay-Z of publicly accusing Jay-Z of raped her at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in New York City in 2000.
The allegations sparked instant controversy and extensive media coverage, putting the iconic rapper under rigorous scrutiny.
Jay-Z’s response strongly denied the allegations, noting that he didn’t even attend the mentioned party. DOE finally publicly admitted that her account contained “contradictory points”.
“The false case against Jay-Z was dismissed by prejudice,” his attorney, Alex Spiro, said after the lawsuit was dismissed. “By facing outrageous false accusations, Jay did very little things – he was pushed down, never settled, he never paid a penny, he won and cleared his name.”
“Today is a victory. The rash, fiction and shocking allegations have been dismissed. * Jay-Z wrote on X: “There is no advantage in this kind of civil lawsuit and will never go anywhere.” I don’t want anyone’s experience. My wife, my children, loved ones and the trauma I endured will never be fired. ”
Jay-Z’s lawsuit further claimed that DOE “voluntarily admitted” that attorney Buzbee “pushed her toward a false story about Mr. Carter, after “raised letters failed to produce financial windfalls.”
The filing application filed by the court stated: “Buzbee brought Jay-Z into it.”
Jay-Z, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in hip-hop, took a firm stance to clear his name and put those claiming to be responsible for his malicious targeting.
