On Sunday night (December 8), NBC News reported that Texas attorney Tony Buzbee today refiled the lawsuit that originally targeted Diddy to include Jay-Z. The federal lawsuit was originally filed in the Southern District of New York in October. Diddy, who was initially named as the sole defendant, was arrested in September on multiple sex crimes and is currently incarcerated.
The plaintiff in the refiled lawsuit remains anonymous, her identity deliberately withheld, and is referred to as “Jane Doe.” Doe claims that in 2000, at the age of 13, she was raped by Jay-Z and Diddy at a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York. The lawsuit was filed under New York’s Gender Motivated Violence Victims Protection Act. The alleged victim is seeking unspecified damages.
Upon learning of the re-filing of the lawsuit, Tony Buzbee limited his statement to XXL: “The complaint speaks for itself. This is a very serious matter and will be litigated in court.” Buzbee Several lawsuits have been filed on behalf of victims who accused Didi of rape and other crimes.
Jay-Z released a statement to XXL about the rape allegations and what he called a “blackmail attempt.” He targeted Buzby’s “theatrics,” called the attorney “pathetic,” described the rape allegations as “heinous,” and detailed how he would work with the children to address the allegations.
My attorney received an extortion attempt, called a demand letter, from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee. What he calculated was that the nature of the charges, the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.
No sir, it had the opposite effect! This makes me want to expose your fraud in a very public way. So no, I won’t give you a penny!
The nature of these accusations is so outrageous that I implore you to file criminal proceedings, not civil proceedings! Whoever commits this crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you agree?

My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I are going to have to sit our kids down, one of whom is of an age where her friends will definitely see the media and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain how cruel and greedy people are. I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure pain like this at a young age. It’s unfair to have to try to understand the inexplicable malice aimed at destroying families and the human spirit.
My heart and support goes to the real victims of the world who have to watch this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit make money while wearing a costume.
You made a terrible error in judgment, assuming that all “celebrities” are the same. I’m not from your world. I was a young man coming out of the Brooklyn projects. We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honors. We protect children and you appear to be exploiting others for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, would believe the stupid claims you make about me, which would be laughable if not for the severity of the harm to children.

Diddy is also accused of raping Doe in the presence of Jay-Z and the female star. Doe claimed she hit Dee Dee on the neck to stop him from letting her perform oral sex on him. After the alleged attack, she left her home, headed to a gas station and called her father.
