Despite new video evidence emerging in the investigation of Florida rapper Julio Foolio’s murder, the search for his killer has made no significant progress.
However, the footage provides important insights into the events leading up to the tragic shooting death of 24-year-old artist Charles Jones, who was gunned down in Jacksonville last month. The new footage, reportedly from a security camera near the scene, captures the moments leading up to the fatal shooting, TMZ reports.
One of the clues that appears in the film is a dark SUV that closely followed Julio Forio’s car before accelerating and overtaking him. The same vehicle then pulled up next to Foolio’s car and fired multiple shots. All of the evidence seen in the new security camera footage has been previously identified by local law enforcement.
Additionally, witnesses said they saw several people fleeing from an SUV shortly after the shooting, which police believe was a targeted attack on the rapper.
Detectives believe the footage could provide important clues, including the make and model of the suspect vehicle and possibly even identify some of the perpetrators. Julio Foolio had been shot at least twice in the past few years before being fatally shot in a Tampa hotel parking lot, WJXT reported, confirming crime analysts’ theories that the fatal incident was A part of a larger piece of beef, rather than a cut of beef.
Crime analyst Tom Hackney told New Channel 8: “Having been doing this for so long, I’m inclined to think it’s more of a regional feud between two groups in Jacksonville, possibly taking advantage of a Stupid post about where he is.

After Julio Foolio’s untimely death, his social media accounts became the focus of mourning fans and investigators. Known for his original and often controversial lyrics, Foolio has a large following and his recent posts have garnered widespread attention.
His last Instagram story posted hours before filming showed him in high spirits, hinting at an upcoming project. After his death, his account was flooded with tributes, with many fans expressing sadness and disbelief.
On Wednesday (July 3), the account posted a video in which it wrote: “You can never kill a demigod” and “The world will be shocked soon.” Police are also scrutinizing his digital footprint for any potential clues, as his social media activity may provide important insights into his recent interactions and possible threats.
The new surveillance footage also emerged from a possible tip from an unidentified source who claimed responsibility for the murder of Julio Foolio after rival Yungen Ace (Yungeen Ace) has a prize of up to $10,000.
