Heembeezy is all about indifference. The rapper has a sustained, laid-back rhythm that allows him to appear undisturbed on any beat. This is part of his appeal. His vocals fit perfectly with the menacing production and that over-the-top menace that 21 Savage has become famous for. “They Want to See Me” is a script written by Heembeezy and executed perfectly. In the song, the Los Angeles rapper trash-talks his enemies, while Skyla Babe uses a metronome to match his delivery. What more could you want?
Some of the bars in “They Want to Meet Me” are unforgettable. Heembeezy’s first verse is filled with bleakness, especially when he talks about betrayal within his own circle. No one has any love lost and Skilla Baby keeps things going strong in the second half of the song. Skira’s voice does have more expression, but he manages to maintain a sinister vibe in a barroom about Derek Jeter and gunfights. He also launched an unexpected Amy Winehouse bar. As far as the theme goes, it’s exactly what you think it is. However, the real star of “They Want to Meet Me” is the production. The bass hits so hard and the drums so persistently, it lulls the audience into an almost hypnotic state. Heembeezy often lived or died by his work, and everyone succeeded on that piece.

Heembeezy lays flowers on one of his best instrumentals to date
Once that bastard tells me
She loves me and she will see me numb
Cops on my ass, this is the only time you see me running
they can’t tell me anything
