Gunna refocuses on becoming a better version of himself on his new album One of Wun. In this follow-up to “Gifts and Curses,” the College Park, Ga., process guru takes just a few guests on a journey to bliss. Offset, recent collaborators Normani, Leon Bridges and Roddy Ricch all do an excellent job of breaking up some of the more monotonous stretches. However, Gunna still manages to make himself interesting, especially on the “hakuna matata”.

It was clear that the trap veteran’s goal was not to succeed in this scheme. But “hakuna matata” is one of the easiest songs to understand or likely to end up on a Spotify playlist. In this clip, Gunnar talks about his new outlook moving forward, and it’s not a shame. Of course, die-hard Disney fans or anyone who’s seen The Lion King will know this iconic phrase.

Listen to “Hakuna Matata” by Gunna

“Young Wunna on tour, I BP charter, living in Hakuna matata / No more worries, I started early, you fucking try to figure out what’s wrong with him (figure out what’s wrong with him The problem)”. Although the song’s tempo is reminiscent of many other cuts from One of Wun, it still sounds great. Gunna also delivers perhaps his strongest performance flow yet, sliding and gliding over the understated instrumental.

What do you think of this brand new song “hakuna matata” by Gunna? Is this the best song on his new album One of Wun? Where would you rank this project among his other projects? We want to hear from you, so be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section. Also, be sure to follow HNHH for all the latest news on Gunna. Finally, stay tuned for everything happening in the world of music.

Quoting lyrics:

Dirty thirty, I play like Corey, they hit me, I don’t even yell (don’t even yell)
These n****s song floppin’, the n****s won’t stop him (song floppin’, gon’ stop him)
Turn off my car and my dad and my family, that’s all that matters (yeah, all that)
Stack them on a shelf in your safe and be prepared for whatever happens (whenever it happens)
I believe in my faith and when I walk straight by I can’t see anyone else (can’t see anyone else)
No, this is not Lauren, this is Raff Simons, this is the Vetements step (Lauren, this is Raf, Vetements step)
