Grammy-nominated genre producer and DJ GORDO (FKA Carnage) has just launched his debut album project “Diamante”. Considered to be the artist’s most personal sonic saga to date, the project is executive produced by rapper Drake, who has a passion for producing some of the biggest projects in the industry.
If “Euphoria” and “Top Boy” are any evidence, then Drake’s decision to support old friend GORDO’s album really speaks volumes about the project’s popularity and popularity. The album will be released on July 26, 2024.
Speaking about the creation of the album, GORDO revealed that “…it (the album) contains works by artists that I respect and artists that inspire me, some of which I have known for many years, and some of which I have known recently.” So, who are these artists? First up, fans can look forward to hearing from talented musicians such as Nicki Nicole, Feid, Maluma, Young Dolph, Sech and more!
The album cover features Gordo sitting on a boardwalk, gazing confidently ahead, surrounded by a lush green background in the distance. This candid shot of the producer, shot by photographer Ivan Amet Achao Acuna, perfectly illustrates the simple vulnerability and intimate sincerity that this album embodies, in terms of GORDO’s persona outside of his role as an artist. No, if you’re still in Drake’s shoes, it seems unlikely that Drake would write a song on this project. But if you’re still looking for hope, well, the tracklist hasn’t been announced yet; one will just have to wait and see.
Over time, Godot no longer resembles the one in “Carnage,” but takes a different path – one that is more personal and full of artistic freedom. The album will encapsulate this transformational journey and will serve as an ode to GORDO’s family and friends and all the support they have given him throughout his arduous journey in the industry. The producer, who has produced for artists like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Sexxy Red and even Bad Bunny, has now set the terms for the project himself and chosen an alternative path in recognition of his work as the No. 1 The Status of Hispanic DJs (Crown by DJ Magazine)
Speaking about the process and emotions of the 15-track self-titled project, GORDO aka Diamante recalls, “Most of the production for this album was done at home in Hawaii. I would work until 6 p.m. and then take a break. , sit on the patio and watch the sunset while listening to the album and taking it all in. It can be the pinnacle of your night or the perfect end to it after a long day. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on. . All that’s left is to listen to it, so stay tuned on July 26th!
