Following confusion over the release date earlier this month, Future has given an update on his new mixtape.
Mixtape updates to be provided in the future
On Tuesday morning (May 28), Future shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) giving fans some good news about his upcoming solo project.
“I can’t sleep until it’s done #MIXTAPEPLUTO,” he wrote in the brief post.
Earlier this month, the rapper confused fans by posting a tweet on X that read “F**k yo album S**t ain’t slappin’ like my MIXTAPE” The update provides some clarity. He then added the date “May 10th” and then “MIXTAPE PLUTO”.
The article led many to believe that the Freebandz leader would be releasing a new mixtape that weekend. However, it turns out the Atlanta rapper was just quoting and referencing a song called “Swear to God,” a collaboration with Tee Grizzley.

The future promises to extend the exciting run into 2024
Looking to continue his already outstanding year going forward. In March, he released “We Don’t Trust You,” a joint album with Metro Boomin, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album’s single “Like That”, a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Future and Metro’s “We Still Don’t Trust You,” which was released on April 12, was a blockbuster hit and debuted at No. 1.
A third No. 1 album in 2024 would make Future the only rapper in Billboard chart history to achieve this feat. Depending on who he plays against in a given week, the milestone isn’t impossible.
