Rapper Freddie Gibbs is known for butter skating on hot pans in terms of Alchemist beats (as they are evident in their Grammy-nominated album Alfredo) just announced the inevitable: Alfredo 2. The Alchemist is re-production for the project, which should drop on July 25, 2025.
The cover of the sequel is ramen, which may mean the supersonics transfer to a more Asian-based sample bank to make the alchemist chop. The artwork itself is a callback to the original Alfredo album, which has a bowl of pasta.
For some fans, the shift to “ramen” illustrations is not good. After all, there is a clear inconsistency between pasta and ramen, and the name of Alfredo 2 is clearly the theme of pasta. Although these fans will find it helpful to remember the origin of the name Alfredo for the project: “Al” from “Fredo” by the alchemist “Fredo” from Freddie Gibbs.
