Finesse2tymes and his girlfriend were recently arrested for possession of drugs in Texas.
The Memphis rapper was born in Ricky Hampton on September 20 and was detained along with Halle Buckingham in Smith County, Texas. Both were charged with possession of marijuana, according to police records obtained by XXL on Tuesday (September 23). But Buckingham faces two other charges of possession of controlled substances.
The arrests were conducted after traffic stops. NBC’s Ketk reports that Finesse was initially pulled over while driving the red Corvette on Cloud Street in Tyler, Texas because he didn’t drive with a seat belt. During the parking period, police smelled marijuana and saw a rolling joint in the ashtray. Authorities also witnessed Buckingham trying to pick up a bag from the passenger floor. After searching for the car, police found 0.7 ounces of marijuana, 12 oxycodone pills and 7 methylphenidate drugs.
The arrest footage taken by bystanders showed the rapper wearing handcuffs while the scene protested his detention. Buckingham was also placed in handcuffs. An official can be seen searching for Finesse’s cars. Finally, a group of people on the scene began to shout “Freedom and exquisite!”
Finesse and his girlfriend were released after bail on Sunday morning.
