Fat Joe says he thinks the Drake/Kendrick Lamar feud may have run out of steam and he doubts Kendrick will fight back.
During a recent live broadcast on Say Dat Tv, Joe expressed his views on the situation that has been gripping hip-hop for weeks.
He said he didn’t believe Kendrick Lamar would respond to a series of Drake diss songs.
“Hip-hop beefs can get really bad,” he says, starting at 3:30. “I don’t think Kendrick is cooking… I think it’s over. It won’t take three or four weeks [to record a response]”.
Another thing Joe discussed on the air was the threat from 2Pac’s estate to take legal action against Drake for using the rapper’s voice on “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which mocked Kendrick.
“[T]The 2Pac family wants to sue Drake,” Joe continued. “I thought it was very creative, using AI 2Pac and pushing the envelope. But I didn’t get a horse in this race. I hope they all get along.
On Wednesday (April 24), Billboard obtained and published a cease-and-desist letter from litigation attorney Howard King to the Canadian superstar for using the West Coast icon’s voice in his latest song Computer generated replica of. The Death Row Records legend’s estate has threatened to “pursue all legal remedies” if he does not remove the track in question within 24 hours of being notified.
