Fat Joe thinks the rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar is over because K-Dot has yet to respond.
Fat Joe’s take on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef
Fat Joe weighed in on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef on Thursday (April 25). Joe, like most rap fans, is waiting for K-Dot’s response. However, the Bronx, New York rapper doesn’t think Kendrick will live up to his promise.
“I don’t think Kendrick is cooking,” Joe says in the video below. “It doesn’t take three to four weeks… I think it’s over. It doesn’t take three to four weeks.”
Joe also reviewed Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which received mixed reviews due to Drake’s use of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg’s AI vocals.
“I think it’s very creative to use AI Tupac and push the envelope,” Joe said. “But, you know, I don’t have a horse in the race. I hope they all get along.”

The ball is in Kendrick Lamar’s court
All eyes were on Kendrick Lamar, who feuded with Drake in March over Future and Metro Boomin’s song “Like That.” Since then, Drake has hit back multiple times with songs like “Push Ups” and the aforementioned “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Drake dropped “Taylor Made Freestyle” Thursday night after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Tupac Shakur’s estate.
As the days pass without any response, many fans are taking points away from Kendrick Lamar. However, quick reactions to diss songs are never really the rule. In fact, some of the biggest feuds in hip-hop have been going on for months. In 2001, Nas was on fire for five months before responding to Jay-Z’s “The Takeover” with “Ether.” In 2005, Fat Joe himself waited a full three months before releasing “My FoFo,” his response to 50 Cent’s ridicule for his single “Piggy Bank.”
