Eminem appears to be making his final musical appearances for his upcoming Death of Slim Shady project, having collaborated with rappers Big Sean and Babytron on the upcoming single “Tobey.” The song title refers to Tobey Maguire, the lead actor in the original Spider-Man film.
In the clip posted, Big Sean begins the song with the bar, “Tobey Maguire got bitten by a spider, but to me, look, it was a goat.” Possibly a reference to Big Sean’s Detroit roots, where he was inspired by Eminem, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest men of all time in rap.

The clip, mostly monochrome in nature (save the gore), captures the three collaborators in one frame as it uses a chainsaw to zoom out from the frenzied Slim Shady to reveal the trio. The director of the teased music video is none other than Cole Bennett, who has been working a lot with Eminem as of late.
Musically, the teased sound boasts a jingle sample with a simple 4/4 march, and appears to capture the beat’s intro with the jingle as the main melodic theme (plus a persistent large pad in the background). The track’s release date has been set for July 2, 2024, while the video will be released shortly after the audio on July 5, 2024.
