Few people, perhaps no one, are as close to Eminem as Prov. Marshall’s best friend, a man who was very skilled with the microphone, unfortunately he left this world too soon.
Now, on the 20th anniversary of his death, Eminem has shared a heartfelt message in tribute to him. Take a look below:
“Dude, I can’t believe you’ve been gone for 20 years! Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you in some way, shape, or form…
You were and still are one of the greatest friends in my life and I thank God every day for bringing us into each other’s lives. I think this happened for a reason.
Ever since that day I met you while handing out flyers on the steps of Osborne and we rapped with each other, we instantly bonded that day and never looked back!
If I hadn’t met you, my life would never be on the path it is now. Thank you for always believing in me, just like I always believe in you! !
We had an amazing journey together and I will never forget you and everything you did for me and the self-esteem and confidence I felt every time you co-signed for me at every club and open mic we went to!
Your credibility is enough to open people’s minds to not judge me before they hear me, and you are one of the first people to make people listen before they make any judgments!
I love you, Doody. No matter how long time passes, you will always be my best friend and as long as I live, I will never forget you!
