Drake’s pen has come under scrutiny again after a reference track leaked on social media linking him to former Kanye West and Meek Mill collaborator Worry.
Earlier this week, audio of an early version of Drake’s fan-favorite “Mob Ties,” featuring Vory on vocals, surfaced on Twitter (X), throwing timelines into chaos. Some users who initially spotted the leak commented that the alleged reference sounded very close compared to the version that appeared on Drake’s Scorpions album.
While it’s an industry standard practice for up-and-coming artists and songwriters to submit records to appear on major artists’ album releases, it’s a little crazy that The 6 God only seemed to change a bar or two and tweak a few tempos here and there. Given that Drake is tied with The Beatles on the Billboard charts, users on Twitter (X) thought the same thing and expressed their displeasure over the leak.
“OMG, Drake didn’t even write about thug ties,” one person wrote. “The VORY reference track just leaked. This guy has been lying his whole career now. I’m here now questioning what the hell Drake wrote.

Another user responded with a pun of his own, referencing the tweet and writing, “He… hired some help,” while others highlighted the numerous artists Drake has collaborated with over the years , a blatant history from independent submissions to mainstream successful reference tracks.
“??? You were there when Quentin Miller happened. You were there when he bought We’re Going Home from Majid Jordan. What the hell are you talking about? We know he bought the song directly,” the user wrote road.
At this rate, Drizzy might consider creating his own leak and dumping hundreds of tracks from his vault onto the internet, like the hacker who just wiped out Gunna’s song from social media. At least then, people were talking about some unreleased music rather than music that had been released nearly six years earlier.
Not to mention, considering Mick cut ties with Worry last year amid abuse allegations from his ex-partner, it doesn’t bode well for him at the moment. Moreover, this is also the low profile of the men of the Ye family, so this also proves that the current narrative about Drizzy is true.
It doesn’t help that a Lil Yachty reference track was also leaked.
