Sources suggest Dr. Omar Johnson could be facing serious legal trouble.
At the center of the conversation was a filmmaker who said her relationship with Omar began in 2019 when she donated $2,000 to the FDMG school. She claims he followed up personally and even urged her to double her next donation. From there, she said, the relationship turned into a business one when Omar allegedly encouraged her to make a documentary about his life. She claims she started doing early photography and preparation and then came up with a budget of $86,000. She said Dr. Omar initially acted like it was “nothing”… until it was time to pay.
Uh oh…
That’s when the filmmakers, whose names have been withheld here, claim the entire plan was quashed. She insisted that the Pan-Africanist prince wanted her to advance the money and then share the revenue. She said she quit, but claims Omar then turned to and convinced her to make a different film project involving him – which she said she ended up financing. I know where this is going…but the movie is reportedly already finished.
She claims that when the project was ready for a private screening, Omar allegedly refused to show up, demanding a link to the full film. She told people he began threatening her, claiming she couldn’t use his likeness. He denied signing the contract and then demanded $500,000 to settle the issue.
And then there’s the “oh” part: She says Omar’s side eventually settled and she received a check for $68,600, allegedly to stop her from making more videos and angering him.
But according to the conversation, that inspection didn’t end it — it smoothed things over. She reportedly took advantage of the situation to trigger a donation lawsuit related to FDMG, claiming that around 40 people are currently involved and that lawyers are investigating where the donated funds went and whether anything crossed legal lines.
If any of this were true, illseed would probably have to label this a paperwork party. Doc might do a real investigation and not just YouTube smoke.
