After dropping four songs in almost as many days, we’re now back to the age-old question: Where in the world is Kendrick Lamar? He hasn’t been seen since the “Not Like Us” music video, which continues to break streaming records (specifically Drake’s old records). While many fervent voices online don’t support this, DJ Akademiks is adding fuel to the speculation. Additionally, he recently stated on livestream that his sources indicate that K.Dot is about to launch. His fans are praying that these reports become reality in 2024, lest we drag this all into the second half of the 2020s.
‘Wait, why am I getting word that Kendrick is coming?’ DJ Akademiks announces Kendrick Lamar’s next musical move. “I got some sources telling me Kendrick — I don’t think it’s about some diss shit. But I heard, you know, Kendrick is loading. I don’t know if that means on the album, I Not sure if he’ll finally start handing out the feature handouts he may have promised them since they were “limping” and “bloody” on that stage, I don’t know if that’s just the song but I’m told… Kendry. Grams are coming – which sounds crazy, by the way.
DJ Academia Makes Ominous Yet Exciting Announcement: “Kendrick Lamar Is Coming”
Additionally, there’s particularly interesting news this time around, thanks to a new track that Drake posted on IG over the weekend. Many of the lines in this new three-pack reference the various beefs he’s been involved in this year, but not many of them are directly related to Kendrick Lamar. So maybe 6ix God wanted to keep things universal and the dark side of the subconscious, even though the word “subconscious” has almost lost all meaning because all that’s missing is a super obvious label. Regardless, DJ Akademiks’ theory that the Compton lyricist won’t revisit the fight is common among fans.
Meanwhile, some fans even believe Kendrick Lamar predicted Drake’s new angle on the songs, especially the lines about therapy. Of course, this could have just been another classic performance from Langstein, or just to show how effectively he breaks his opponent’s character. Still, whether you hate Kendrick or not, what happens next is sure to cause a stir. Only time will tell if The Boogeyman will make a comeback, or if he’ll find another side to his old-school Gemini ways.
