DJ Akademiks claims he’s responsible for killing Meek Mill’s rap career.
DJ Akademiks shines at Meek Mill
DJ Akademiks went live on Rumble on Tuesday (May 14) to respond to a new rape and defamation lawsuit filed against him on Monday (May 13). During the meeting, Ak spoke to Meek Mill, who had previously commented on the situation on wtf…now he tells the story of why he reports bad things about others?
Ak slammed Meek for bragging that the popular streamer was responsible for the end of Meek’s rap career.
“Meek, that’s what I’d say about you, your dying face,” Acker answered. “I ruined your career and everything you had left. Not because no one paid me. You disrespected me nine years ago and I was like an elephant. I’ll never forget it.”
“I admit your career is six feet lower because you disrespect a man who was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, and who now happens to have mastered hip-hop,” Acker added. “Your career is never coming back. I ruined it.”
Meek Mill’s career includes five top five solo albums, with his most recent solo record being 2021’s Expensive Pain. In the years since its release, Meek has gone independent and has had his fair share of complaints about the industry. However, his latest album, 2023’s “Too Good to Be True” with Rick Ross, was not a hit, reportedly selling only about 31,000 copies in its first week.

Meek Mill and DJ Akademiks’ long-standing beef
Meek Mill and Ak’s feud dates back to 2017, when Ak claimed Meek was upset because the internet celebrity wasn’t promoting Meek’s Wins & Losses album properly. Ak claims the Philly rapper and his team began threatening him because of the situation, and they’ve been feuding ever since.
Back in February, Acker accused Meek of failing to address allegations in the lawsuit that suggested Meek and Diddy were sexual partners. Meek scolds Ak for playing with his name, and the two exchange snarky quips on X.
On Monday, the day before news of the rape allegation lawsuit broke, Meek insulted Ak on X, calling him a “rapist couch potato.” [sic]”.
