Diddy’s official release date has been announced.
Diddy’s information was entered into the Federal Bureau of Prisons on Sunday (October 26), revealing that the Bad Boy Entertainment founder will be released on May 8, 2028. Puff has already spent time in prison since his arrest in September 2024, and Didi is currently expected to serve 42 months in prison.
On October 3, Didi was sentenced to 50 months in prison for two counts of transporting prostitution in July. Earlier this month, NBC News reported that Poff’s attorneys asked the embattled media mogul to serve time at the FCI prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey “to address substance abuse issues and maximize family visitation and rehabilitation.”
Diddy is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he has spent the past 13 months. His final destination will be determined by the Bureau of Prisons.
One of Diddy’s last hopes is to receive a pardon from President Trump. Back in May, Trump left the door open to the possibility of Diddy being given a pass.
“I’m going to see what’s going on,” Trump told the assembled media during a meeting in the Oval Office. “I didn’t follow it too closely. It did get a lot of press, though. I hadn’t spoken to him in years. He used to be very fond of me. I think that relationship fell apart when I ran for politics.”
“Of course I’m going to look at the facts,” Trump continued. “If I think someone is being abused, whether they like me or they don’t like me, it doesn’t make any difference.”
Since then, however, there have been conflicting reports about whether the US president is interested in commuting Didi’s sentence.
