DaBaby has called on his former frequent collaborator Megan Thee Stallion to “come home” and get back in the studio with him despite speaking out about her on his 2022 album Baby on Baby 2 dissatisfied.
During a recent appearance on “Drink Champs,” DaBaby revealed that he would like to work with her again.
“I love Meg very much,” he said. “I’ve done some exciting stuff with Meg. It’s been great to see her rise through the hurdles. I’m performing a song with Glo, Meg and Baby. I think that’s me and Meg back way. Because I don’t think any of the things you use to make music really reflect that, and I don’t mean to be disrespectful.
In the ensuing conversation, DaBaby urged Megan Thee Stallion to stop working with “crappy” artists.
“Go home, honey,” he said. “You don’t have to do shit like that with the other n#####s. We can come in.
He continued, seemingly touching on his previous remarks about Meghan.
“Shout out to Meg and any other women out here doing their thing,” he added. “I have nothing to say about not having black women doing their damn thing, man. I’m not going to trip, it’s hard enough here.
DaBaby mocks Megan Thee Stallion in ‘Bogeyman’
The North Carolina native claimed in his 2022 song “Bogeyman” that he slept with Megan in 2020, adding that it happened before her shooting incident with Tory Lanez .
“I was obsessed with Megan Thee Stallion the day before she said Tory Lanez shot her,” DaBaby raps. “I’m waiting to say this is going to be on my next album.” He also added, “Hit it the other day too/But I kept it and I ain’t gonna say anything about it.”
He later said of his lyrics: “That’s it. I said it a long time ago, keep me out of this. It’s a song. It’s out now. N##### can follow them Treat it the way you want to treat it.
