If you thought Drake was the only one who made the term “Iceman” cool, think again. British rap star Central Cee just released a music video for what he calls “Iceman Freestyle,” in which he not only bars the bar in the most British way possible, but also makes a sneaky reference to Drake.
While not mentioned often, Central Cee referenced Drake’s lyric not once, but twice to make it stick when asking “Where’s the fucking function?” In the film, Cen Qi can be seen taking on a Peaky Blinders-style gangster businessman aesthetic, which suits him very well.
The song itself has a British bounce feel to it, both laid back and aggressive. If there was a way to define this attitude, perhaps the closest word would be “roar.” All in all, the song further cemented Central Cee’s place in the UK rap scene and set off another wave in the global hip-hop scene. check it out!
